Melanie Finkel has over 30 years of commercial and real estate litigation experience in New York. Before starting her own firm, Melanie began her legal career at Brown Raysman Millstein Felder & Steiner LLP/ Thelen LLP and Trokie Landau LLP. She represents clients in State and Federal Courts in connection with commercial and business litigation matters and real estate litigation including mortgage foreclosure and alternatives to foreclosure providing strategic advice regarding mortgage modifications, deeds in lieu of foreclosure and short sales.
Melanie is qualified to accept judicial appointments as a Receiver and/or Referee in foreclosure actions pending in the Bronx, New York, Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties and is qualified to accept judicial appointments as a Guardian ad litem in matters pending in the Surrogate’s Court in Bronx and Westchester counties, and is also a part-time Hearing Officer for the City of New York.
Melanie is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the White Plains Bar Association.
